Lipsticks: Tool To Be Bold

I've read an article which said that average women spend approximately 20 million ONLY on lipsticks on their whole life. I call mysef more skin care enthusiastic rather that make up addict. First because I think getting the best skin care is an investment for life. Second because I hate putting make up and it ended up causing acnes on my face.

But I love lipstick... recently. I just realized that the original color of my lips is very pale (many people mistakenly think that I was sick). When I put lipstick (just that one), I could see that my whole face turned to be more vibrant and I felt more empowered. No lie if people said that red lipstick could change someone to be braver and bold!

These are my lipstick collection.

1. Purbasari (83 Pirus) 2. Purbasari (89 Jade)
I brought Purbasari after watching many beauty vloggers like Abel Cantika and latest Mbak Linda Kayhz review them. And they did not lie. Considering price and quality, Purbasari series are the best lipsticks I have ever brought. It has texture that won't dry on lips, light, and lasting particularly if you do not eat oily.
Pros:
  • light
  • does not make lips dry (it means this product contains moisturizer)
  • does not crack on lips
Cons:
  • difficult to be found. (I bought them at Guardian, PVJ)
3. L'oreal Paris (M405 Iridescent Pink Cerise)
This the only similar-to-red lipstick I got. I rarely put this lipstick on because I think it does not suit for everyday casual look.
Pros:
  • it makes us stand out
  • does not crack on lips
Cons:
  • it is more than IDR 100,000
  • it makes my lips dry after putting on for hours
  • less lasting especially after you eat meal
4. Wet n Wild (918D Cherry Bomb)
Purple color lipstick was so "on" last year. I love the color, too. Basically I love every color that defines character. For me, it is better nude or strong color.
Pros:
  • does not crack on lips
  • lasting even after meal
Cons:
  • it makes my lips a bit dry after erasing it
5. Make Up For Ever (24 Rouge Artist Intense)
I got this from Sarah, my friend on Singapore. In Indonesia, you may find a bit difficult to find this brand if you are not based in Jakarta. Alternatively, you could buy it from online shop.
Pros:
  • lasting
  • abundant moisturizer
  • does not crack
Cons:
  • price is high
I think those who said price won't lie are right. I do not find any flaws in this product except its price.

6. Silkygirl (06 Hot Pink)
This is the least liked lipstick for me. I almost never use anymore because it has sparkling and I do not like lipstick that contains glitter. This is my first lipstick, by the way.
Pros:
  • price is very affordable particularly for student
Cons:
  • has glitter (as for me who does not like glitter at all)
  • not lasting
  • it makes my lips dry after erasing it
7. L'oreal Paris (CR402 Fairy Touch)
My favorite number 2 after Purbasari no 83. The color is calm pink.
Pros:
  • does not crack on lips
  • the color is almost everyone's favorite, I think
  • it has light texture
Cons:

  • it is more than IDR 100,000
  • it makes my lips dry after putting on for hours
  • less lasting especially after you eat meal
8. Revlon  (070 Soft Nude)
Skin color. Suitable for everyday look.
Pros:
  • suitable for those who are beginner in make up and have not been brave to try color
  • lasting
Cons:
  • a bit cracked
All of these are based on my experience and might have different effect on your lips. Happy hunting lipstick. Let's be bold together!!!
